The Nature Preschool had a magical last full week before Winter Break! We continued to explore the changes that come with the cold through visual arts, science experiments, storytelling, and much more! We want to give a special thank you to all the families who have joined us to share their winter traditions! Some of our favorite activities centered around the story “Going On A Bear Hunt”. Outside we went looking for every element found in the story: long wavy grass, a cold deep river, thick oozy mud, a swirling whirling snow storm, a big dark forest, and a narrow gloomy cave! The children loved acting out the sounds that paired with each element, “Swishy Swashy, Squelch Squirch!” Some of the classes upstairs performed for the downstairs classes, which has inspired us all to think of more fun performances we can put on for each other! Do you have any ideas?
