SPRING LUNCH & LEARN: Fleeting Flowers and Gossamer Wings

Join us for a presentation by Irvine’s Master Gardener, Clare Walker, PhD, plus enjoy a delicious catered lunch from ACE Catering and guided tours of the Woodland Garden.
Presentation – Fleeting Flowers and Gossamer Wings
Like spring ephemeral flowers, many of our spring butterflies appear small and delicate yet are tough enough to thrive in Maryland’s spring weather that swings between summer and winter temperatures. In this talk we will admire the fleeting beauty of both flowers and butterflies as we explore how their lives are intertwined. The presentation is followed by a guided tour of the Irvine Woodland Garden where blooms will be at their peak with displays of trilliums, geraniums, larkspur, phlox and more.
