Youth Program Leaders (YPLs) are volunteers aged 14+ who assist with Irvine’s Summer Nature Camp. YPLs work with staff to deliver nature lessons, lead hikes, play games, and most importantly, act as role models for campers. Last week, Irvine hosted a training for 16 new YPLs and interns! The students learned how to make a fire, natural history of the Piedmont region, camp games, and more! They are now fully prepared for an amazing summer.
Interested in developing leadership skills while having fun outdoors? Irvine is still in need of a few more YPLs for the month of August. If you are interested, please submit an application to Kim Scotto.
