December’s Volunteer of the Month is the amazing St. Timothy’s School!
St. Timothy’s School is a private boarding and day school for girls in grades 9 through 12, located in Stevenson, Maryland. St. Timothy’s is a fabulous volunteer group and began a new partnership with Irvine this past fall by coming in 2 days a week for 2 hours of volunteer work. Their fearless leader, Tessa Trach (pictured below), was first to approach Irvine Nature Center with this new service idea.
Irvine’s Volunteer Coordinator, Diana Roman, said “St. Timothy’s School students were an incredible group to have at Irvine this past fall. They came in like clockwork each Tuesday and Thursday to do whatever was needed from cleaning up trash outside to helping with craft preparation for PumpkinFest. Tessa was amazing and recruited more students from St. Tim’s to help at PumpkinFest when she heard we needed more volunteers! I can’t wait to have them back here again at Irvine!”
St. Timothy’s school has been a great volunteer group and was a vital part of our organization during our busiest season of the year. The students and leaders passion for service, the environment, and for Irvine’s mission was incredible!
Congratulations St. Timothy’s School and Tessa! Thank you all for your dedication and commitment to Irvine!
