An encouraging (and somewhat amusing) update to bring nature to YOU, since you’re not able to come here . . .
In between several meetings yesterday, Brooks and I took a quick hike down to the wetlands. Apparently we hit the absolute peak of American Toad mating season! There were hundreds, if not thousands, of toads in the shallows of the first two ponds, and they were singing and courting like we’d never seen before! It was truly a sight to behold–especially since just five years ago there were no ponds at these locations! Enjoy a few glimpses of one of nature’s most chaotic wonders. –BR
