Last Friday, 25 Jemicy students and 4 teachers made the long journey across the street to Irvine for a morning of volunteering! Students helped set up for Pumpkinfest, Irvine’s annual fall festival.
Half the group worked on garden maintenance, while the other got to work moving straw bales to be used for various activities at the festival. They designed a straw maze for young children, which included two tunnels through the straw! The students also created the corn pit (think ball pit, but with corn kernels inside) and got to drive the golf cart!
Thanks again to Jemicy students, for all their help and hard work!
