My name is Emily Stransky and I am Irvine’s new Group Project Coordinator!
I am so excited to be starting at Irvine and can’t wait to begin working with groups to improve the facilities and grounds.
I graduated from University of Maryland in May of 2012 with a degree in Environmental Science and Policy and a concentration in Wildlife Ecology and Management. Following graduation I was an Environmental Education Intern for Delaware Nature Society, and then began my year of service for Chesapeake Bay Trust in their Chesapeake Conservation Corps Program. Through this program I was stationed at Eden Mill Nature Center in Pylesville, MD and worked to improve as an educator and naturalist. I learned a lot at Eden Mill about volunteering and programing, so I am excited to be able to use my knowledge as a volunteer, naturalist, and educator here at Irvine Nature Center. I hope to bring a lot to the Irvine family by working with both individual and group volunteers, and I look forward to meeting and working with you all!
