This June, Craig Stone from Troop 1908 completed his Eagle Scout project with Irvine. During his initial visit this rainy May, Craig noticed that there were many portions of the trails that were too muddy to be crossed. Craig and his troop constructed 4 new boardwalk planks to be installed in the seasonally wet areas.
The scouts installed the new boardwalks, and rearranged several existing planks for increased stability. The trails are now more accessible, and it is much appreciated by staff and visitors alike.
