Despite the cold winter weather, friendships flourished this week at the Nature Preschool! We focused on kindness and showing the people we love that we care for them. During imagination stations we made cards, cut out hearts, painted with stencils at the easel and decorated mailbags! We had to get all ready for our celebration of love at the end of the week! Each child made love notes for every friend in their class! Even the teachers took part in the fun! We handed them out and followed up with a smorgasbord of healthy food and sweet treats!
Outside we wanted to be kind to the creatures nearby. We scattered seed at the bird blinds and then sat quietly to observe! We were blown away by the frenzy of flapping feathers, as we saw chickadees, tufted titmice, downy woodpeckers and cardinals swoop in to gather their fair share! Some classes even made bird feeders by filling up empty orange peels and stringing cheerios onto pipe cleaners!
Over the weekend remember to show the people (or animals) closest to you how much they are loved!
