We took notice of clues that winter is on the way! We enjoyed placing thermometers along the trail to see where the warmest and coldest hiding places are for animals. We loved drawing winter trees from observation outside in our nature journals. Snow play with fluffy stuffing and little animals added something fun to our imagination stations. Clementines and pomanders were used to make scented balls with cloves – wonderful scents for the season. We also painted with colored ice cubes, sorted seeds, counted worms, watched a special puppet show, built forts, and played in the Outdoor Classroom (natural play space).
