This Week’s Adventures: Our bodies are full of important organs such as skin, heart, lungs, and brain. We also have blood and bones. We compared human bodies to other animals and discovered some very cool bones and body parts!
Favorite Activities: We drew body parts and arranged them onto a human skeleton to understand how they work together. We also examined animal bones such as a snake skeleton, deer skull, and whale back bone to see differences in animal bodies. We looked closely at ourselves to draw self-portraits. Letter “Bb” inspired us to look for bark, bats, berries, and bones!
Next’s Week’s Theme: Autumn Trees, Blankets of Leaves
Try this at home: Trace one hand. Use a ruler to measure each finger and write the measurement for each finger. Cut off each finger (yikes!) and arrange them from biggest to smallest. What if your fingers were in different places? Glue the fingers back in place to make a new hand.
