February’s Volunteer of the Month is the Fantastic Valerie Lannen!
Valerie Lannen is a stupendous and wonderful volunteer and she has been volunteering at Irvine for the past 3 and half years! Valerie volunteers as a Naturalist Intern and has helped with a variety of items including outreaches, field trips and now Urban Education!
Irvine’s Manager of School Programs and Urban Education, Naturalist said “Valerie has stepped up this year into leading Urban Education with me and thrives with the kids. She writes eloquent urban education blog pots and has worked on handling and caring for all the raptors as well. She has also always been there when one of us needs her for a lot of different kinds of programs.”
Valerie is a nice and fun volunteer and without her dedication and hard work as a Naturalist Intern would not be the same.
