One might never know, given how dramatically songs and calls diminish in late summer, but there are more birds to be seen during autumn than any other time of year. And Irvine is an unusually good place to explore the diversity of east coast avifauna! Become better acquainted with the field marks, habits, and timing of dozens of migrating species which pass through Irvine’s woods, meadows, and wetlands every fall, enroute to warmer climes to the south. Beginning birders welcome; no experience necessary. Instructor: Brian Rollfinke
